Pixie is still on cage rest and has been limping for past couple of days so she had to go back to the vets. The leg that is causing her trouble is actually on the other side to where she was injured by the car The vet put her on the floor and her walking was terrible, I nearly cried. Her back leg just kept giving way.
The vet had a good feel and there doesn’t seem to be any breaks or bones in the wrong place but she thinks that Pixie may have had an arguement with the cage and dislocated her knee which had then gone back into place on it’s own. She is tender around her knee but the rest of her leg seems fine and her pelvis is great. She says that if she’s still limping next week they will x-ray her. She said I did the right thing giving her more pain meds and to keep that up and that hopefully the cage rest will sort it out.
I’m a bit worred about her hurting herself in her cage again so I’m going to put cardboard or somethign around the bottoms of the sides so her feet won’t go through the bars.

It’s been a tiring day for the members of the Window Watching Club. They are exhausted!

Yesterday I had my check up and the vet is really pleased with my progress. She also gave me new stuff to help me poop! I’m fed up with being stuck in this cage! I’m soooo bored. I get lots of hugs and nice foods but I want to run around and bop Arty and jump and chase birds and go for adventures.

Today is Pixie’s 3rd birthday!!
She didn’t have a fun start to the day. She had to go back to the vets as she’s got cystitis and constipation 
She had an injection and has stuff to go on her food to help move things along!

I’m baaaaack
It has been a pretty horrible week but now I’m home things can start to return to normal. Well they would if I wasn’t stuck in this blasted cage. Apparently it’s for my own good and it is a million times better here than at the cat hospital. I’m getting fed all sorts of lovely foods and Arty is keeping me company. I get to do lots of sleeping and I get lots and lots of cuddles.

She’s home!!! She’s a bit upset about being in a cage though
She’s desperately trying to escape, I really hope she calms down soon. It’s so good to have you home.
As you can see, despite the broken pelvis, she is still pretty mobile!
Pixie is going to be OK!!!!
The vets decided that Pixie didn’t need an operation afterall. She is doing so well healing by herself that they didn’t want to intervene. She is up and walking about on all four legs despite the broken pelvis. It should heal on it’s own and it will be a lot less stressful if she doesn’t have to have an operation. She might be home as early as tomorrow!!! She will be in a cage for a few weeks to make sure she rests but she should make a full recovery.
We can all relax now after a very worrying few days.

Pixie is due to have her operation this afternoon. I’m going in to see her soon. Hopefully I can visit after the op too. I’m terrified.
