Poor little Arty had to go back to the vets. He couldn’t pee, they had to put a catheter in. He’s had scans and tests and all sorts but they think he’s well enough to be home. He’s on lots more medication so he’s feeling a bit better. He’s been really brave. Hopefully the vets can work out what keeps causing this so he doesn’t have to go through it again.

Hi Arty Good to now you home but hope this issue gets resolved. Mom think sometimes this can be caused by too much of some mineral in cat food but can’t remember which one. Been a long time since she had to deal with this problem in a boy kitty. My vet want mom to keep eye on me just in case as blockage is a somewhat common boy cat problem. Hope you feels better. And so glad you home with Pixie. Hugs n purrs to both of you

    Thanks Boomie
We don’t get fed processed cat food, just yummy fresh meat and fish so the vet doesn’t think it’s a diet problem. I hope they work out what is wrong. I don’t want to get ill again, it’s not fun :(
I’m gonna have a long sleep and some cuddles to recover
    Purrs

I hope you don’t need to go to the Vet for a long time. You’ve had your share of visits.

Mama says sometimes frequent urinary problems can be caused by water, especially if you’re on a municipal water supply. The chlorine and other minerals can change the pH of your pee and lead to irritation and crystals. My late sister Sinead had UTIs regularly until her vet told her the secret: get yourself a filter pitcher and make sure your cats (and you) drink only the filtered water. And of course, your person should make sure you always have plenty of fresh water to drink. Hope you feel better soon, Arty! *purrrrr*

Ooh thanks for the tips. Hadn’t thought it might be the water.
    We’ll try filtered water.
We might be getting a water fountain too
