Bead heaven!

Just back from the Artisan show with a bag full of goodies. There was lots and lots although the stamping stalls outnumbered the bead stalls. I spent lots of money but it’s my birthday tomorrow so I’m allowed! I bought some beads and some stamps and embossing powder to use with my polymer clay creations.

I got to see the other shortlisted entries for the Jewellery Maker of the Year. The competition is strong!

Artisan Show

Wednesday, September 29th, 2010

Yey my ticket has arrived.

We’re going on Saturday, it’s a birthday treat as it’s my birthday on the Sunday. I’m really looking forward to it. I should probably set a budget so I don’t spent *all* my money on beads!

If you go, make sure to look out for my necklace which will be on display there.

I will be having a stall at the Unconventional Meerkat in October. It looks like a wonderful event for people who are looking for something a little different from the norm.

10th October 2010
Thornbury Leisure Alveston Hill, Thornbury,
South Gloucestershire BS35 3JB

“The Unconventional Market Meerkat is a one stop shop for alternative requirements”

Why Meerkat not Market?
When we ran the first market, we fell foul of ancient chartered market law and where told we could not use the word market within 6 ¼ miles of the town centre. Not wanting to lose a brand, the “Meerkat” was born.

Made in Bristol Summer Fair

Saturday, July 3rd, 2010

I’ve managed to get a pitch at the Made in Bristol Summer Fair tomorrow. After an unsuccessful day today (wrong market, wrong people, not enough publicity) I am really hoping that this will be great. If you’re in Bristol then head on down to see all sorts of lovely crafts as well as mine!

The ‘Made in Bristol’ Summer Fair is a two-day celebration of gold standard local produce both art, craft and food on the 3rd & 4th July. The Summer Fair will include the highest-quality hand-made sculptures, drawings, limited edition prints, photographs, ceramics, jewellery, furniture, crafts and clothing amongst other treasures waiting for you to discover.
