I’m giving my stall a makeover this year seeing as my jewellery style has changed so much. I bought this fabric to cover the table with, I think it looks great against the silver.

More Celtic inspired work

Celtic Cord Bracelet

I thought I’ve have a play at weaving cord as it’s far easier to work with than wire for this kind of thing. I’m thinking that I might be able to combine woven cord with silver jewellery.

I did some simple weaves to start with but then decided to learn how to make this complete bangle with one long continuous cord. I love learning new things and I enjoyed making this.

Celtic Cord Bangle

I’d be interested to know if people would prefer leather to waxed cotton or if coloured silk cords might be nicer? I might have a look in the craft shop later and see what they’ve got.

After watching the History of Celtic Britain (which I very much enjoyed) I was inspired to make something using their wonderful art as inspiration. I have ordered more wire so I can try some different designs. Loving it so far!

Turquoise earrings
I haven’t really made many earrings because I don’t wear them myself. When I placed an order for silver wire and chains I decided to order some sterling silver ear wires and make up a few pairs to see if people like them.

Sterling Silver

Silver Pendant

Ever since I started making jewellery I have stayed away from Sterling Silver due to the price, and the price has continued to go up and up. However, I feel limited with silver plated wire because I can’t oxidise it in the same way as the copper. Sterling silver can be oxidised and because of that I’ve been experimenting. I’ve just made two small pieces and I’ve loved working with it. I love the way it feels, the way it reacts to the oxidising, the finish I can get with it.

I want to offer sterling silver jewellery to my customers but will be making pieces to order rather than keeping them in stock. If there is any piece on my site that you would like made in sterling silver, oxidised or not, get in touch!

Tree of Life Pendants

I’ve revisited an old favourite that I loved making in copper. In silver they look so very different.
I’ve listed them in my shop.

Goodies from Lyme Regis

We had a lovely weekend in Devon with my family. I went to my favourite shop in Lyme Regis which sells fossils and crystals and got some pretty goodies to turn into jewellery.

We also got some tasty chocolate. Chilli, chocolate and coffee are some of my favourite flavours so the combination is awesome!

Silk and Leaves

I feel that I am still finding my way with silver. I haven’t quite developed a style I’m happy with in the same way that I did with copper. They are such different materials to work with.

I bought some pretty silks from Abby and Ellie and have been playing with a few ideas. The colours of the silks are increible and I just love the way that they look with the silver.

I thought I’d see if I could make something to decorate hair with, that would go with my other recent creations. It fastens on with a simple kirby grip.

Silver and leaves necklace

I ordered lots of different leaf beads this week so I could have a play with a few different design ideas.
